Dental Assistant

Teghan is a friendly and approachable dental assistant at Smiles HQ who enjoys creating a calm, welcoming and supportive environment for patients and the dental team.

Teghan completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE NSW and has experience across both orthodontics and general dentistry. She began her dental career in orthodontics, where she worked for two years, before moving into general dentistry. After relocating to Newcastle, Teghan joined Smiles HQ in July 2026.

What Teghan enjoys most about dentistry is helping people feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment. She loves meeting new patients, building positive relationships and seeing them leave feeling happy with their results. She also values being part of a supportive team and appreciates Smiles HQ’s strong focus on patient care.

Outside of the practice, Teghan enjoys going to the gym, spending time at the beach and baking sweet treats. She has also completed three HYROX competitions. Teghan is currently completing her Certificate IV in Nutrition.
